Terrain

    This region is unique in that only here can three distict species of deer be found in overlaping ranges; the whitetail, the desert mule deer and the carmine mountain whitetail. The river creates a seperate ecosystem distinct from the upper end of the ranch and harbors a large population of unique aquatic life.

Minerals

    There is a healthy cover of native grasses and ther has been very little disturbance by livestock.
