The ranch is located in the High Chihuahuan Desert and is prodominatly high rolling plains punctuated by soaring desert mountains and seasonal drainages. The soil tends to vary between a caliche base and a productive sandy loam. A majority of the land has a covering of native grasses and forbes that include Gramma, Toboso, Fox Tail, Curly Mesquite and others. The landscape is interrspersed with various species of native brush and trees typical of of the region. The annual rainfall varies between 11" and 16", which falls between July and September. There are on occassion, light snows in December and January.

Located in the county of Via Ahumada, State of Chihuahua, Mexico. The coordinates of the ranch are approximatly 30 37'26.31" North by 105 40' 23.19" West at approximatly 4,600 feet in evelvation. The Sierra Paidido and Sierra Pinosa form up the northern boundry, while Sierra Los Lamentos defines the western most part of the ranch. The neighboring ranches are of substantial size and are historically grazed with cattle.

The ranch can be accessed from both El Paso and Presidio Texas, both cities have paved Federal highways leading South. From El Paso/Juarez, it is 60 minutes South to the town of Villa Ahumada, then approximatly 2 hours via maintained secondary roads (unpaved) to the ranch. From Presidio/Ojinaga, it is 90 minutes West to the town of Coyame, then approximatly 2 hours via maintained secondary roads (unpaved) to the ranch.

Cottonwood and mesquite are found scattered throughout the ranch.

There are pockets of heavy native brush and high pastures that hold wild game.

Mule deer, Coues Deer, Pronghorn, Blue Quail, Ducks, Dove, Auodad, Mountain Lion and a varity of small game.

This ranch has historically been operated strictly as a cattle operation and has not been hunted for many years. There is abundant browse and water for the game and the boundries of the ranch are not developed, leaving excellent habitat.

The ranch is perimeter fenced and cross fenced with barbed wire of typical construction. The fence is in good and servicable condition.

The ranch water system is based on windmills and these mills pump water into concrete storage tanks and are gravity flowed to other troughs. In addition, there are dirt stock tanks found throughout the ranch, and most being in service year-round. These impoundments are fed by run-off.

The workers homes on the ranch are typical of most Mexican ranches. They are modest concrete/adobe stuctures with two bedroom and one bath, living room and personal kitchen.

There are two hired hand houses, warehouse and shop, all of adobe construction. There are also working pens and corrals.

Annual taxes are approximatly $3,500.00 per year,

This is a high quality High-Desert ranch that has excellent pasture. Acceptable carring capacity is estimated 75-100 acres per animal unit.
